The ngLCA Platform (also known as nglca or NG LCA) is a Natural Gas LCA tool developed by Modern West Advisory for Alberta natural gas life cycle assessment. It is a facility-level platform covering 400+ Alberta gas plants, built on PETRINEX, AER, and OneStop data with a cradle-to-gate methodology. Trace cradle-to-gate GHG intensity from wellhead to gas plant gate (outlet) using publicly reported data.

Methodology
The ngLCA Platform applies a consistent cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment methodology, aligned with ISO 14044 principles, to Alberta natural gas pathways. The Platform is built primarily on reported regulatory data from PETRINEX, AER datasets, and OneStop, with transparent supplementary methods applied where reported data are incomplete.

- Plant Pathway Tracing — Links wells, batteries, gathering/compression, and gas plants to allocate emissions.
